Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial technology sector, managing payment systems on a large scale. The project involves maintaining and improving a Terminal Management System (TMS) responsible for handling over 300,000 payment terminals. You will be part of a team migrating complex business functionalities from legacy systems to modern architectures. This role requires strong Java development expertise, working closely with distributed systems and handling system integrations.

Your main responsibilities: 

• Design and implement IT solutions based on analytical and technical documentation
• Review analytical documentation to ensure alignment with system requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical support for existing systems
• Report work progress to superiors regularly

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and object-oriented programming
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA frameworks
• Practical knowledge of message queue systems like RabbitMQ
• Experience with distributed systems and system integration
• Familiarity with tools like Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Jira
• Knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle
• Expertise in RESTful API design
• Experience with application servers such as JBoss/WildFly
• Full availability in the Polish time zone and readiness to work from the office in Warsaw 4 days a week
• English skills sufficient for seamless communication
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with web frameworks;
• Understanding of DevOps principles;
• Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a relevant field
