Senior Java Back-End Developer – Payment Platform

As a Senior Java Back-End Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading provider of innovative digital payment solutions. This role focuses on enhancing the global disbursements platform that enables clients worldwide to transfer funds effortlessly, pay suppliers, and process transactions securely. Your main responsibilities:

• Build and support backend microservices in Java 11/17/21, ensuring scalability and robustness.

• Design, implement, and maintain automation test frameworks to guarantee high software quality and optimize testing efforts.

• Migrate legacy systems to modern APIs or microservices architectures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

• Enhance Straight-Through Processing (STP) capabilities across services, improving overall transaction speed.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative, reliable payment solutions.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development, preferably in financial or payment platforms.

• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ (Java 17+ preferred).

• Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).

• Solid understanding of RESTful microservices, APIs, and Git.

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and command-line tools.

• Experience with database technologies and SQL, with Oracle preferred.

• Knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience scripting with Python or Bash.

• Background working within QA teams.

• Understanding of application monitoring solutions.
