Senior GCP DevSecOps Engineer – Cloud Security & Automation

As a Senior GCP DevSecOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization, focusing on advancing cloud security, compliance, and automation within Google Cloud Platform. You will contribute to building robust, secure cloud foundations while supporting innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Your main responsibilities:

• Build, deploy, and manage the bank’s GCP foundation platform applications primarily using Google Cloud products like BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Build, and Cloud Run, leveraging Python programming.

• Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Config Connector.

• Develop and implement preventative security solutions to improve overall security posture across the cloud estate.

• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage core cloud services covering IAM, networking, logging, operating systems, and containers.

• Ensure compliance with centrally defined Cloud Security Standards and operational risk policies.

• Support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous testing activities.

• Maintain change management practices and update operational documentation accordingly.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 4 years of experience managing a range of services within Google Cloud Platform.

• Expertise in GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, or similar products.

• Advanced understanding of Cloud Security best practices and Google Cloud specific security measures.

• Strong grasp of DevOps and SRE principles, Infrastructure as Code techniques, particularly Terraform.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, or Bash.

• Experience with IAM, compliance, auditing, and monitoring tools in cloud environments.

• Proven ability to automate processes and manage configurations at scale.

• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex information clearly and effectively.

• A solid understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance processes.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (such as Professional Cloud Security Engineer).

• Experience with tools like Flux CD, Helm, or similar CI/CD automation frameworks.

• Knowledge in operations resilience, networking, and incident management in cloud settings.
