Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java&Rust)

Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization. The company operates in 64 countries, providing a wide range of banking and financial services. In this role, you will be contributing to the development and enhancement of a front-to-back system for trading various financial products, including bonds, credit derivatives, and IR derivatives. You will be involved in delivering sustainable solutions and ensuring the smooth operation of mission-critical applications.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining front-to-back systems for trading bonds, credit derivatives, and IR derivatives
• Proposing and delivering sustainable solutions for business use cases, DevOps, infrastructure, resiliency, and monitoring
• Contributing to new-age tooling and improving the existing tech stack and processes
• Representing the application in design review forums and interacting with IT management
• Participating in engineering and tooling forums within the department
• Applying design principles to ensure robust and scalable solutions
• Ensuring the application is aligned with industry standards and best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues effectively
• Using agile methodologies to quickly learn and implement new technologies

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 7+ years of experience supporting mission-critical applications
• Extensive hands-on experience with core Java and Spring Boot
• Experience in developing valuation engines or product-based applications
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with different teams and stakeholders

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Rust programming language
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
