Senior Full Stack Developer – Cybersecurity and Data Pipelines

As a Senior Full Stack Developer – Cybersecurity and Data Pipelines, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial technology sector committed to delivering secure, scalable, and innovative digital banking solutions. You’ll help build robust cybersecurity tools and automation solutions that protect millions of users worldwide, driving the future of secure banking and digital trust.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Cybersecurity experts to design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions that strengthen the bank’s security posture.

• Develop and deploy REST API services, data pipelines, and ETL jobs using Python, adhering to microservice design principles.

• Integrate 3rd party cybersecurity tools and automate vulnerability scans across the estate.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment and operation of services.

• Support existing services through troubleshooting, bug fixing, and writing automated tests.

• Lead peer reviews and mentor junior developers within an agile DevSecOps environment.

• Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts to streamline development and operational workflows.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technology trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance security measures.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in full stack software development with a focus on cybersecurity-related applications.

• Extensive Python web development experience, particularly with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Proven expertise in building data pipelines with libraries such as Pandas and Numpy, and tools like Airflow or Luigi.

• Strong understanding of microservice architectures, CQRS, SAGA, and event sourcing.

• Hands-on experience deploying services with Docker, Kubernetes, and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Gitlab.

• Solid Linux sysadmin skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and networking fundamentals.

• Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and version control.

• Basic front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong SQL skills for complex database querying and optimization.

• Demonstrated experience with automated testing (unit, integration, functional).

• Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively within a global team.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Cybersecurity-specific experience, including working with security testing tools, penetration testing, or threat detection.

• Cloud infrastructure experience on AWS, GCP, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud, using Terraform or similar tools.

• Frontend expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React.

• Database administration experience with MSSQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.

• Experience with message queue systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
