Senior Data Scientist

Warszawa-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week)

As a Senior Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Advertising, you will be working for our client, a leader in innovative digital advertising solutions. You will drive the design, refinement, and deployment of advanced ML models that enhance ranking and bidding mechanisms, elevating campaign performance and user engagement. This role offers a chance to influence cutting-edge advertising technologies and grow your expertise in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Drive the design, refinement, and evaluation of ML scoring models (e.g., CTR, CVR, RoAS) crucial to core bidding logic.

• Architect complex model strategies integrating user, product, and placement signals for high-throughput, low-latency environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate strategic objectives into measurable modeling outcomes and technical roadmaps.

• Provide technical leadership and ensure quality standards across Data Science workstreams, aligning with production best practices.

• Lead end-to-end model development—from problem framing and feature engineering to evaluation and deployment.

• Mentor fellow data scientists, elevating modeling standards and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and optimizing Deep Learning models for production use cases.

• Expertise with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, complemented by practical skills in Pandas and NumPy.

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including analytical SQL in large-scale environments (e.g., BigQuery).

• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI and Vertex Pipelines.

• Proven ability to lead full lifecycle model development, from problem framing to deployment and monitoring.

• Solid engineering foundations, including writing production-quality Python code, with familiarity with CI/CD practices.

• Excellent communication skills in English (at least B2 level) and a collaborative mindset.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience developing ML models for low-latency online applications.

• Background in advertising or marketing domains.

• Proven experience in predicting business events such as clicks and conversions (CTR/CVR modeling).

• Proficiency in traditional ML techniques like Gradient Boosted Trees.

• Practical experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools to boost engineering productivity.

Language Required for the role:

• Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
