As a Senior Cloud Security Consultant – Google Cloud Expertise, you will be working for our client, a prominent player in the financial services industry, dedicated to elevating cybersecurity standards in cloud environments. You will contribute to building resilient cloud security architectures, ensuring compliance, and leading the adoption of best practices. Your main responsibilities:

• Review, challenge, and escalate security requests for exceptions and risk acceptance related to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring compliance with our client's cloud security controls.

• Provide cloud security consultancy support to global business units and facilitate seamless transition of cloud services into production.

• Drive continuous process improvements through automation, data-driven insights, and capability development.

• Understand and apply relevant cloud security controls effectively across various cloud environments.

• Contribute to our client's cybersecurity strategy aimed at securing and strengthening the bank’s technology infrastructure.

• Engage effectively with global teams, regions, and stakeholders, promoting security best practices and industry standards.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, promoting innovative security solutions and our client's adoption initiatives.

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud security, with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform.

• Proficiency in software development tools and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell.

• Strong knowledge of data formats like XML, JSON, CSV.

• Excellent customer focus and ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

• Self-driven attitude with proactive approach, high integrity, and strong work ethic.

• Robust technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex technical information into clear reports for diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated good judgment and influence, with alignment to our client's values.

  
  

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of cloud vendor tooling.

• Experience conducting cybersecurity assessments or reviews.

• Understanding of risk and control frameworks.

• Working experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Nexus).

• Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or Cloud Security Certifications (or working towards them).
