Senior Backend Engineer (Java&DevOps)

As a Senior Java & DevOps Backend Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in global payment solutions. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the Global Disbursements platform, enabling seamless, fast, and secure international fund transfers. Join us to help shape financial technology that empowers businesses and consumers worldwide.

Your main responsibilities:

• Resolve blockers for the development team to ensure smooth project progress.

• Maintain effective communication with technical architects and management to update on project status, challenges, and solutions.

• Collaborate with QA teams to guarantee all quality gates are met before deployment.

• Develop comprehensive production support documentation including walkthroughs.

• Prepare and manage release checklists to ensure successful deployments.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in backend development within the Payments or Financial Tech industry.

• Strong knowledge of Cloud Native Technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Istio Service Mesh.

• Hands-on experience with Bash/Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix/Linux, Jenkins, and GitHub.

• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain distributed containerized platforms.

• Expertise in creating CICD pipelines for automated deployments.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Fluent English communication (reading, writing, speaking).

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Certifications in cloud or DevOps technologies.

• Knowledge of other scripting languages or relevant tools.
