Senior Automation Tester

As a Senior Automation Tester – Banking & Financial Services, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution modernising its banking applications and digital platforms. You will play a crucial role in ensuring critical systems meet business requirements by designing, executing, and overseeing functional, non-functional, and automated testing activities. Your main responsibilities:

• Translating business use cases into functional, non-functional, and regression test scenarios

• Designing and executing end-to-end testing across multiple platforms

• Providing consultancy to functional test teams and documenting business scenarios

• Coordinating with business analysts during requirement gathering and project demos

• Contributing to test strategy preparation, project estimation, and automated test design

• Capturing, tracking, and retesting defects until closure

• Evaluating testing impact across projects and writing automated regression test scenarios

• Conducting test result walkthroughs and publishing daily project status updates

• Ensuring test data quality and availability for all testing phases

• Capturing lessons learned and implementing improvements for future projects

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in testing within banking or financial services

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies

• Experience in functional, API, automation, and performance testing

• Proficiency with testing tools such as SQL, Cucumber, Selenium, Tosca, Python, REST API, and JIRA

• Hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps environments

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Experience coordinating teams and maintaining stakeholder relationships

• Solid understanding of software project lifecycle

• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude

• Ability to adapt swiftly to fast-paced, dynamic work environments

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of Java or Business Driven Development (BDD)

• Experience supporting PVT and production issue testing
