Senior Architect (banking)

Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in the office).

As a Senior Architect, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization dedicated to digitalizing and streamlining customer onboarding, product fulfillment, and KYC processes. The technology team is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic customer portals, workflow services, and integrations with internal and external data sources. This role provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI, Machine Learning, DevSecOps, Microservices, and Cloud Architecture. You will be driving architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in delivering innovative digital solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Leading architectural discussions and defining strategic roadmaps aligned with organizational goals
• Collaborating with senior business and IT stakeholders to evaluate technical solutions and product options
• Designing and implementing microservices-based architectures with a focus on security, scalability, and maintainability
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and design patterns
• Developing and documenting REST APIs, ensuring high performance and security standards
• Overseeing the adoption of application containerization strategies and cloud infrastructure solutions
• Ensuring integration with external and internal systems through effective data modeling and API design
• Participating in production support and incident management to maintain system reliability
• Defining and maintaining architecture documentation using tools such as Visual Paradigm and Bizz Design
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and evaluating emerging technologies for business impact

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of application-level security and infrastructure design patterns
• Expertise in microservices architecture and REST API development
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS and Java server-side development
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for front-end development
• Experience in application containerization and cloud security architecture (Google Cloud or AWS)
• Strong understanding of database schema design, SQL, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Ability to debug existing code, extend functionality, and resolve issues efficiently
• Experience with architecture documentation and tooling such as Visual Paradigm and Bizz Design
• Knowledge of integration patterns and data modeling concepts
• Proven ability to work in agile environments and drive technical innovation

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Machine Learning and AI concepts
• Exposure to network and infrastructure security
• A flexible and adaptive approach to project delivery
