As an Analytics Lead Assistant, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution known for its commitment to meeting complex regulatory requirements and managing conduct risks across its operations. This project involves spearheading initiatives that leverage AI and advanced analytics to proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate regulatory risks. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and govern analytical solutions, ensuring they align with internal policies and evolving regulatory standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape compliance strategy through cutting-edge data science and machine learning applications.
- Leading the development of AI and analytics models to address regulatory compliance needs
- Guiding junior team members in building technical capabilities and delivering analytics solutions
- Managing large, complex data sets to extract insights and drive decision-making
- Visualizing analytical results for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Overseeing regular validation and updates of existing models to ensure accuracy
- Developing and documenting analytical solutions aligned with business objectives
- Driving awareness and adherence to model governance and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to identify emerging risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Supporting hiring processes and team development through coaching and mentoring
- Coordinating with model validators and auditors to provide timely management action plans
- Proven experience with machine learning, NLP, and AI tools in a regulatory or financial context
- Strong knowledge of applied mathematics, statistics, and data science principles
- Hands-on expertise in Python and SQL for analytical modeling
- Experience working with big data ecosystems and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts including ETL, data modeling, and ontology
- Strong visualization skills using Qlik, Tableau, or similar tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and conduct risk
- A degree in data analytics, computer science, or a related field
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Teams, and Advanced Excel
- Prior involvement in strategy development or innovation programs
- Familiarity with model risk policy updates and governance practices
