Python Financial Engineer

As a Senior Python Developer – Financial Engineering and Treasury, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to pioneering innovative treasury modeling solutions. Your expertise will support building and deploying cutting-edge Python-based models while advancing automation, containerisation, and CI/CD processes that shape the future of global financial services.

Your main responsibilities:

• Build and implement Global Treasury Python-based modelling solutions to enhance risk management and strategic decision-making.

• Support the development and deployment of containerised treasury solutions and automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Deliver a robust, user-friendly, and reusable coding environment for rapid model deployment.

• Provide automated solutions enabling fast, agile model building, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate with tech leads, business stakeholders, Quantitative Analysts, and IT teams to drive cross-functional synergy and contribute to end-to-end system design.

• Strategically implement software following best practices to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with the Head of Financial Engineering to ensure smooth change management and system maintenance in line with corporate standards.

• Partner with Quantitative Analytics teams to develop practical, compliant software solutions aligned with accounting and regulatory standards.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in software development, specifically with Python in a financial or treasury environment.

• Strong knowledge of containerisation technologies and CI/CD automation.

• Proven experience building and deploying scalable financial models.

• Solid understanding of financial engineering principles and treasury operations.

• Ability to work collaboratively across technical, analytical, and business teams.

• Experience implementing solutions that adapt to regulatory and business evolution.

• Hands-on experience with model automation, deployment pipelines, and robust coding environments.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in financial software development or DevOps.

• Knowledge of our client's group standards or financial regulatory frameworks.

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
