As a Python Developer (Cybersecurity), you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. You will join a cross-disciplinary team responsible for automation and integration, focusing on product integration, data management, and user interaction. Your role involves designing and developing solutions to enhance cybersecurity infrastructure, supporting automation for web and application products across different environments. You will be part of an agile team, continuously improving processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity strategies. Your main responsibilities:
- Designing and developing end-to-end automation solutions for cybersecurity infrastructure
- Collaborating with stakeholders, Product SMEs, and Project Managers to identify and implement improvements
- Supporting the team in prioritizing and delivering engineering solutions
- Investigating and resolving technical issues across different environments (DEV, UAT, Production, Contingency)
- Maintaining and improving continuous integration and DevOps pipelines
- Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity strategies, standards, and best practices
- Developing front-end and UI components using industry-standard tools and technologies
- Implementing and maintaining API integrations using REST, SOAP, and Microservices
- Managing system performance, monitoring progress, and reporting risks or issues
- Sharing knowledge and driving best practices across the team
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Proficiency in Python programming for scripting and web development
- Experience working in cybersecurity, development, or operations environments
- Knowledge of data, networks, and endpoint security domains
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods, associated frameworks (e.g., Lean) and Bank tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design, and development
- Working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Systems Engineer, Application Support Specialist/Developer, DBA
- Experience with full-stack engineering, including front-end and back-end programming
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization services
- Knowledge of API design standards, patterns, and best practices (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0)
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with UI development tools like Figma, Wireframing, HTML, CSS
- Ability to work with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB databases
- Background in system or application administration
- Experience working with Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments
- Ability to lead by example and contribute to a collaborative team culture
