As a Proofpoint Email Security Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions. Your role will focus on implementing and managing cutting-edge email security systems to protect the organization from threats like malware, phishing, and social engineering. Your main responsibilities:
- Configure, deploy, and optimize Proofpoint email security solutions to ensure maximum threat mitigation.
- Manage security policies and conduct threat analyses to prevent malware, phishing, and social engineering attacks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed email security practices into organizational processes.
- Monitor and respond promptly to email security incidents, minimizing impact.
- Evaluate new email security technologies and recommend improvements.
- Build and sustain vendor relationships and leverage their tools for threat intelligence and defense.
- Maintain documentation, dashboards, and reports on email security performance and threats.
- Support the development of team capabilities through knowledge sharing and best practice implementation.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on email security systems.
- Deep understanding of SMTP, SMTP Auth, and email infrastructure.
- Practical experience with Proofpoint or similar email security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of threat prevention techniques and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based email systems and architectures, including Exchange Online.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects in highly regulated, multinational environments.
- Ability to analyze, resolve technical issues, and implement strategic solutions.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certification in cybersecurity or email security (e.g., CEH, CISSP, Proofpoint certifications).
- Experience with data classification, encryption, and data discovery tools.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks, standards, and best practices in cybersecurity.
Language required for the role:
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
