As a Project and Portfolio Manager, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution driving innovation through the development of its Internal Cloud Platform. You will be responsible for managing transformational programmes, ensuring clear visibility of ongoing projects, and optimizing portfolios to achieve measurable progress and benefits. This role involves communicating effectively with senior stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives based on value, and overseeing end-to-end project delivery to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Your main responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end technical project delivery on the Internal Cloud Platform
- Governing budgets and deliverables, ensuring all projects are on track and addressing any blockers or risks
- Ensuring effective governance of the program and driving continuous portfolio optimization through progress measurement and benefits realization
- Liaising with and managing stakeholders on portfolio planning and joint priorities for transformation opportunities
- Providing consistently accurate and timely reporting on programs to executives
- Managing communication with senior stakeholders and customers
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong experience in managing or leading transformational programmes of work
- Extensive experience in financial portfolio management, including budgeting, forecasting, and raising business cases
- Proven experience in infrastructure delivery projects
- Experience and working knowledge of agile methodology
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a strategic and pragmatic approach to developing solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment
- Excellent leadership, networking, influencing, and strategic planning skills
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Expertise in virtualization technology, such as VMware
- Experience working across cultures and coordinating a globally dispersed team
