As a Mid-Level Funds Operations Project Manager, you will be working for a leading financial institution, empowering the funds change team with your project management expertise. You will oversee complex initiatives across Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Pricing, Transfer Agency, Collateral, and Reconciliation functions, contributing to the standardization, efficiency, and innovation of investment fund services on a global scale. Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans aligned with business objectives within Funds Operations, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives impacting key functions.
- Manage project scope to prevent scope creep and keep activities aligned with strategic goals.
- Identify and coordinate cross-team and regional dependencies, proactively mitigating risks to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assess projects not just by delivery timelines but by their business impact, adoption, and value realization.
- Lead communication efforts and change management initiatives to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes and systems across multiple teams.
- Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships at all levels, ensuring alignment and clarity on project objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions during implementation.
- Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and organizational goals.
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational excellence.
- Resolve conflicts within project teams or stakeholder groups, maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Drive change at organizational levels by influencing practices and fostering a culture of adaptability and innovation.
- Lead system development projects and onboarding initiatives, supporting smooth transitions through technical solutions and thorough testing.
- Support team management activities, including meetings, feedback sessions, and fostering a positive working environment.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in project or program management within a complex corporate environment, preferably within financial services.
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience managing projects related to Investment Funds, including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, or Transfer Agency.
- Proficiency in project management fundamentals and risk mitigation techniques.
- Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams or projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Polish and English.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
It is a strong plus if you have:
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience managing multiple testing projects, budgets, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of working with external vendors or offshore teams.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent Polish and English, both written and spoken.
