PL/SQL Developer (Oracle Forms)

As a PL/SQL Developer you will be working for our client, a leading European insurance provider dedicated to innovation and building robust technological solutions. You will be a key member of the team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing their core, large-scale systems built on Oracle technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend deep, hands-on PL/SQL development with high-level architectural design. You will focus on optimizing performance, engineering new database solutions, and ensuring the stability of mission-critical applications within the property insurance domain. Your expertise will directly shape complex systems that are fundamental to the client's business success and future growth.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain critical systems using Oracle and PL/SQL technology

• Design and implement efficient, scalable database solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues in Oracle environments

• Collaborate effectively with team members within an agile SCRUM framework

• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

• Implement and thoroughly test new features and system enhancements

• Optimize existing PL/SQL code for maximum performance

• Support the integration of PL/SQL applications with other enterprise systems

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

​​​​You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining systems with Oracle technology

• Strong, demonstrable proficiency in PL/SQL development

• Proven experience working with Oracle Forms

• The ability to work effectively in a team using an agile SCRUM methodology

• A capacity for analytical thinking and creating non-standard solutions

• Professional experience working within the property insurance domain

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration

• Experience with database or application migrations
