As a Network Capacity Analyst – Connectivity Infrastructure, you will be working for our client, a leading international bank committed to innovative connectivity solutions across 55 countries. In this pivotal role, you will help optimize network capacity, drive proactive improvements, and ensure the stability of vital infrastructure that supports global financial operations. Your main responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance capacity management for Connectivity, aligning with internal control standards.
- Balance capacity activities based on risk, effort, and total cost considerations to optimize performance.
- Represent Connectivity in the HSBC Capacity Management Community of Practice forum.
- Identify and analyze sources of business demand impacting network capacity, quantifying relationships to support proactive management.
- Assess all infrastructure-impacting changes with Architects to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure engagement with Connectivity support processes and change management.
- Prioritize efforts to reduce infrastructure outages and repeat failures.
- Establish and enforce global capacity management standards.
- Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance services, working with domains and vendors to implement improvements.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 4+ years of experience working with large-scale resilient network environments.
- Solid understanding of network resilience principles and capacity management.
- Experience managing resources such as bandwidth, ports, routers, firewalls, and servers.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience working within ITIL frameworks.
- Good knowledge of how capacity consumption impacts performance.
- Ownership mindset with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to challenge and be challenged constructively.
- Excellent collaboration skills across multiple teams.
- Passion for troubleshooting complex problems and continuous service improvement.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications related to network management or ITIL.
- Experience in financial or banking sectors.
