Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).
As a Murex Specialist, you will be working for our client, a global financial leader enhancing its front and middle office trading platforms for commodities, FX, and interest rate products. You are supporting the evolution and reliability of the primary trading system by collaborating with business users and developers across global teams. The role blends functional expertise with hands-on analysis and implementation to ensure system resilience, regulatory compliance, and high-value delivery in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Your main responsibilities:
Acting as the key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
Gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for Murex-based solutions
Providing functional support and resolving production issues impacting trading systems
Managing incidents and communicating with front and middle office users
Supporting solution design and hands-on implementation of enhancements
Facilitating user acceptance testing and delivering training to end users
Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to iterative development cycles
Automating repetitive processes and improving release and test procedures
Maintaining effective relationships with global teams and end users
Collaborating on long-term system strategy and short-term tactical fixes
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Hands-on experience supporting or developing Murex systems
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, P&L, and risk analysis
Familiarity with front and middle office workflows in trading environments
Experience working in agile software development teams
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating globally
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to manage incident response and business-critical issues
Understanding of financial products such as FX, commodities, and interest rates
Experience gathering and translating complex business requirements
It is a strong plus if you have:
Hands-on knowledge of SQL, shell scripting, or related development tools
Experience in the commodities, FX, or fixed income trading business
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Geneos and Control-M
CFA or FRM certification or progress toward either
