As a Mid-to-Senior GitLab / DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Automation, you will be working for our client, a leader in technology solutions, dedicated to empowering product teams through advanced DevOps platforms. You will help design and evolve scalable, reliable CI/CD pipelines and automation tools that drive innovation, security, and efficiency across the organization.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage GitLab components, including groups, projects, runners, pipelines, templates, and shared libraries to enable seamless development workflows.
- Build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines, templates, and best practices for scalable delivery.
- Integrate and manage additional DevOps tools such as artifact repositories, secret management, security scanning, observability, and policy-as-code solutions.
- Implement and maintain GitLab Runners (Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, shell) ensuring high reliability and security standards.
- Contribute to test automation frameworks and embed automated quality gates (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, security scans) within pipelines.
- Explore and implement AI-driven use cases to optimize CI/CD pipelines, including intelligent test selection, code quality insights, and pipeline automation, adhering to governance principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security and platform groups, to standardize workflows, enforce policies, and enhance developer productivity.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize pipeline performance, costs, and reliability, establishing SLAs/SLOs and KPIs to measure success.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and training materials; provide Tier 2/3 support and share knowledge across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement by automating repeatable tasks, enabling self-service capabilities, and incorporating feedback for platform enhancement.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 4–6 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or related fields.
- Strong expertise with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security and compliance practices within DevOps processes.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to DevOps workflows is a plus.
- Solid understanding of testing frameworks and automated quality gates.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in DevOps, Kubernetes, or cloud technologies.
- Experience with observability tools and policies-as-code.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent in Polish and English, both written and spoken.
