As a Mid-Level Data & Reporting Developer – Cloud & Big Data Expertise, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization committed to harnessing data to drive strategic decisions and deliver innovative solutions. In this role, you will support the development of robust data technology solutions that underpin the company’s data-driven culture, focusing on cloud and big data environments to optimize data management and analytics. Your main responsibilities:
- Develop data technology solutions using algorithms and languages such as Python, TSQL, and C# to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Support technical leadership by providing expertise and recommendations on data consumption engines and emerging technologies.
- Design and build data warehouses and big data systems for enterprise data management, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Perform data integration tasks utilizing ETL tools across diverse databases, systems, and platforms.
- Create, publish, and maintain data assets for real-time and analytical consumption.
- Design and implement data architecture and data modeling solutions aligned with business needs.
- Develop secure automated data analytics pipelines and streamline code deployment processes.
- Establish data quality checks, alerting, and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity.
- Create complex reporting solutions within Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Build and maintain data visualizations using tools like Data Studio in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Analyze requirements, identify process improvements, and communicate process logic effectively.
- Troubleshoot data issues and bugs promptly to minimize impact.
- Contribute to ad-hoc data analysis, documentation, and project delivery to support strategic initiatives.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 3 years of experience in data lifecycle management, including sourcing, ingestion, warehousing, big data, and cloud migration.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TSQL, and C# programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (particularly Google BigQuery and Data Studio) and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of data architecture, modeling, and data governance best practices.
- Ability to develop and automate data pipelines with a focus on security and quality.
- Experience working with data visualization tools and techniques to produce insightful reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address critical data challenges.
- Proven collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and governance managers.
- Leadership qualities allowing guidance and monitoring of workflows within projects.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud certifications).
- Experience with tools like Qlik Sense, PowerApps, Alteryx, Collibra, or JIRA.
