As a Mid-Level Data Engineer – Financial Risk Management, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry focused on risk management and AML solutions. You will help build and maintain robust data systems that ensure the accuracy and efficiency of large-scale data processing. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-volume data processing.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze and enhance data architectures.
• Build ETL processes using Python and orchestrate workflows with tools like Airflow or SSIS.
• Model data structures using dimensional modeling, star, and snowflake schemas.
• Implement batch and incremental data processing and change data capture techniques.
• Support the maintenance of data environments and contribute to system improvements.
• Understand business context to translate requirements into technical solutions.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge of Python programming.
• Strong experience with SQL, especially PL/SQL and Oracle SQL.
• Expertise in ETL processes and data modeling.
• Good understanding of cloud environments; Azure Databricks knowledge is a plus.
• Analytical skills and ability to conduct business analysis.
• Proficiency in English for communication within the global team.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Basic knowledge of MS SQL.
• Experience with analytics and system analysis methods.
• Familiarity with Oracle and cloud technologies.
