As a Mid-Level Data Engineer – Financial Risk Management, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry focused on risk management and AML solutions. You will help build and maintain robust data systems that ensure the accuracy and efficiency of large-scale data processing. Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-volume data processing.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze and enhance data architectures.
- Build ETL processes using Python and orchestrate workflows with tools like Airflow or SSIS.
- Model data structures using dimensional modeling, star, and snowflake schemas.
- Implement batch and incremental data processing and change data capture techniques.
- Support the maintenance of data environments and contribute to system improvements.
- Understand business context to translate requirements into technical solutions.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of Python programming.
- Strong experience with SQL, especially PL/SQL and Oracle SQL.
- Expertise in ETL processes and data modeling.
- Good understanding of cloud environments; Azure Databricks knowledge is a plus.
- Analytical skills and ability to conduct business analysis.
- Proficiency in English for communication within the global team.
It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
- Basic knowledge of MS SQL.
- Experience with analytics and system analysis methods.
- Familiarity with Oracle and cloud technologies.
