Java Developer (With C++/Python skills)

Warsaw-based opportunity with 2 days of remote work per week

As a Software Developer - Front Office (FICC), you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution known for delivering a broad range of financial services to individuals, corporations, and institutions. In this Warsaw-based role, you will contribute to developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance trade booking and control systems that ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational stability in a fast-paced trading environment. The client values hands-on engineers who can collaborate closely with business and tech stakeholders while driving innovation and reliability.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based systems for trade booking and control

• Integrate internal and external systems ensuring data accuracy and performance

• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to deliver impactful features

• Monitor system health using Prometheus and apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices

• Participate in code reviews and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

• Optimize system architecture and improve existing codebase continuously

• Document systems and support knowledge sharing across the team

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3-4+ years of professional experience as a software developer

• Strong proficiency in Java, with additional experience in Python or C++

• Experience working with Hazelcast, MongoDB, SingleStore, or Spanner databases

• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD workflows

• Understanding of Prometheus for monitoring and observability

• Knowledge of SRE principles and operational best practices

• Experience with Java frameworks such as Boltweb or Spring

• Ability to work in a high-reliability, low-latency front office environment

• Proactive mindset with strong collaboration skills

• Experience maintaining documentation and supporting team knowledge
