Kraków-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on building scalable and secure digital banking solutions. You will be contributing to the development of Android-based applications that serve millions of users worldwide, playing a key role in feature delivery, performance optimization, and code quality. The project involves cross-functional collaboration, modern software architecture, and continuous integration to ensure high reliability and agility. You will be working in an international Agile team driving innovation within the financial technology landscape.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing Java-based applications for Android banking platforms

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improvements

• Conducting code reviews and writing unit tests to maintain code quality

• Optimizing application performance and resolving technical issues

• Participating in architectural discussions and technical planning

• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge sharing

• Writing and maintaining technical documentation

• Supporting production deployment and monitoring activities

• Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Readiness to convert to a permanent position directly with our Client based on an Employment Contract after 6 months of cooperation with ITDS

• 5+ years of Java development experience (Java 8 or above)

• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns

• Experience with version control systems such as Git

• Familiarity with unit testing tools like JUnit and Mockito

• Understanding of CI/CD tools and best practices

• Solid problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Commitment to writing secure and maintainable code

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS (EKS, Lambda), Azure, or GCP

• Background in banking or fintech environments

• Knowledge of ORM frameworks like Hibernate or MyBatis

• Experience working in international, distributed teams
