Java Backend Engineer – Microservices and Cloud

As a Mid-Level Java Backend Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking sector. You will contribute to the development and optimization of mission-critical core banking systems, supporting millions of transactions daily. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Java & Spring Boot, Data, and Security modules.

• Contribute to evolving the bank’s core system architecture to meet growing demands.

• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, reliable deployments.

• Build and deploy services on Kubernetes using Docker containers for high scalability.

• Manage and fine-tune Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance and data integrity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver innovative solutions.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure the stability and reliability of backend services.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development with Java.

• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid understanding of SQL databases, ideally Oracle and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with designing secure and scalable microservices.

• Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments (bonus).

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Certifications in Java, Spring, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Language Required for the role:Fluent English.
