As a Mid-Level GCP DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial technology department focused on data technology within a dynamic banking environment. You will contribute to the development, maintenance, and automation of data platforms and products in a hybrid cloud infrastructure, supporting digital transformation and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance CI/CD tooling and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Ansible) to ensure efficient delivery processes

• Develop and optimize shared services components and deployment patterns for GCP and other cloud platforms

• Automate tasks related to resilience, security, and compliance of IT services within the department

• Contribute to the development of SRE practices, focusing on automation and reliability

• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for scalable and repeatable deployments

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of data solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud and on-premise environments, maintaining high levels of system performance

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud-based DevOps or Platform Engineering roles

• Strong skills in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Ansible)

• Practical experience with GCP as well as other cloud providers' best practices, security, and cost optimization

• Proficiency in scripting languages: Bash and Python

• Solid Linux administration and networking knowledge

• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Familiarity with SRE principles, application lifecycle management, and service management

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience working in highly regulated environments

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Background in Data Engineering, with tooling such as Airflow or Spark

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English with excellent communication skills
