Kraków - based opportunity (2 days/week in the office).

As a Fullstack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution driving a platform transformation across a highly regulated and data-intensive environment. The project focuses on building scalable, cloud-ready microservices and user-facing applications, with an emphasis on backend integration, automation, and performance in a Big Data setting. You will be contributing to the modernization of systems through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and design in a complex enterprise ecosystem.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing scalable microservices using Scala and Spring Boot

• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform

• Building responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript and Next.js

• Executing and optimizing Apache Spark jobs for large-scale data processing

• Collaborating with UI/UX teams to integrate backend and frontend seamlessly

• Managing APIs and backend logic for robust application performance

• Containerizing applications using Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes

• Automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes

• Supporting and mentoring team members in development standards and best practices

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues across the full software stack

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience engineering solutions in Big Data environments

• Strong backend development skills, especially in microservices architecture

• Proficiency in Scala, Spring Boot, and related frameworks

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible

• Solid understanding of orchestration and infrastructure as code using Terraform

• Practical experience with Apache Spark in performance-intensive contexts

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as JavaScript and Next.js

• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes

• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to complex systems

• A collaborative mindset with mentoring and code review experience

  
  

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud service providers

• Knowledge of messaging, caching, and database technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Postgres, or MongoDB

• Experience automating ITSM or IT governance tools and lifecycle management

• Background working in matrix-managed, large-scale enterprise environments

• Exposure to hybrid or fully cloud-based Big Data platforms
