DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, supporting the development and maintenance of a Data Management Platform. You will be responsible for building and optimizing DevOps pipelines, ensuring smooth automation, and enhancing cloud-based infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This hybrid position requires regular visits to the Krakow office, at least twice a month, with the possibility of increased frequency.
Your main responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining DevOps pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy scripts
- Managing and automating infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
- Deploying and orchestrating containerized applications with Kubernetes
- Ensuring smooth CI/CD workflows and improving deployment automation
- Working with Git, Git Flow, and GitHub Flow for version control and collaboration
- Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code concepts for scalable cloud environments
- Monitoring and optimizing cloud-based systems within GCP
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices
- Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues efficiently
- Ensuring security and compliance standards are met in all deployments
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficiency in automation scripting using Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy scripting
- Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Strong expertise in Git, Git Flow, or GitHub Flow for version control
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working in financial or enterprise environments
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud and DevOps
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools beyond Jenkins
- Understanding of networking and security in cloud environments
