Data Warehouse Developer – Health & Beauty Retail Leader

As a Data Warehouse Developer you will be working for our client, a prominent leader in the health and beauty retail industry with a strong presence through its extensive network of stores and a thriving e-commerce platform. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization of the company's central data warehouse.

This role is essential for improving business intelligence functions and empowering data-informed decisions across various departments. Your primary focus will be on the hands-on implementation of data solutions, ensuring the efficient processing and availability of information for advanced analytics, which helps in understanding customer behaviour and market dynamics.

Location: hybrid - 4 days in the office in Warsaw

Rate: B2B: 150 – 175 PLN/h netto+vat

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes feeding the data warehouse

• Create, optimize and maintain complex SQL queries and perform data modeling

• Automate data flows using scripting languages and integrate with external systems via API

• Monitor the integrity and performance of data processes and respond quickly to incidents

• Cooperate with analytical and business teams to support their reporting needs

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for the developed solutions

• Work in a Linux/Unix environment and use version control systems

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience with database systems such as Teradata, SAP HANA or similar

• Fluency in SQL, including query optimization skills and practical experience in data modeling

• Practical knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python or Shell script) and the ability to work with APIs

• Experience in building and maintaining data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes (e.g., Informatica Power Center)

• Knowledge of visualization and reporting tools (e.g., SAP BO, Qlik Sense)

• Comfort working with the Linux/Unix operating system and command-line tools

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket)

• Independence in creating technical documentation (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

• Ability to proactively monitor processes and solve problems

• English language proficiency enabling free communication and work with technical documentation (min. B2)
