Data Tech Lead – Financial Services

Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

As a Tech Lead you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undergoing major data-driven transformation across its enterprise functions. You will be contributing to a large-scale programme focused on developing high-quality data repositories, strengthening reporting capabilities, and enabling strategic decision-making through advanced data insights. You will be guiding technical delivery, shaping data architecture, and ensuring that all data pipelines, models, and systems follow strict standards and governance. You will also be supporting teams, aligning with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements across a complex and fast-moving environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Leading end-to-end delivery of data and reporting projects

• Overseeing development of data repositories and enterprise reporting assets

• Coordinating data ingestion, integration and transformation activities

• Ensuring secure movement of data across sources and targets

• Designing and refining data models aligned to business requirements

• Guiding development of systems that acquire, aggregate and validate data

• Collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements and reporting needs

• Managing and coaching team members to support their development

• Identifying blockers and risks within data processes and resolving them

• Driving continuous improvement across data quality and reporting practices

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience leading data engineering or data insights projects

• Hands-on experience using SQL, Python and cloud data platforms

• Proven ability to design and deliver complex data models

• Experience performing data integration across multiple systems

• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines

• Ability to manage teams and guide their technical development

• Experience working with stakeholders to refine data requirements

• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Experience developing reporting solutions aligned to business needs

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Background in master data or metadata management

• Experience contributing to compliance and governance activities

• Familiarity with large financial-services environments
