As a Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, on a project dedicated to building a centralized data layer that consolidates information from multiple sources. Your work will support ETL processes for modern applications, enabling smarter decision-making and operational excellence across the organization. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and scalable data pipelines to enable data integrity and accessibility

• Integrate data from diverse sources including APIs, message queues, and batch systems

• Parse, transform, and validate large datasets to uphold high data quality standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage end-to-end data workflows and ensure seamless data integration

• Implement and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for efficient data processing and automation

• Utilize pySpark and Databricks platforms to develop scalable, high-performance data solutions

• Support the development of data-driven applications and visualizations in Vue.js

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance and reliability of data workflows

• Document processes and establish data integration best practices for team collaboration

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or related fields

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL frameworks

• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and database optimization techniques

• Hands-on experience with pySpark and Databricks

• Familiarity with integrating data from APIs and message queues

• Solid analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Effective communication skills to work across teams and document processes

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Vue.js or other frontend frameworks

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools

• Certifications or additional training in data engineering or cloud platforms
