As a Data Engineer, you will work for our Client - one of the most prestigious Investment Banks in the world. The successful candidate will liaise with the global market data team which is based in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, along with vendors and exchanges located across those regions. The role provides the opportunity to build new relationships with global exchanges and data vendors to expand direct reporting agreements and to identify efficiencies in optimizing reportable data alongside automating/streamlining reporting

Your main responsibilities: be a part of a huge Data Model Migration
Your main responsibilities: be a part of a huge Data Model Migration
- Ensure accurate maintenance of inventory data, generation of accurate reports, and submission to third parties in accordance with licensing terms
- Build a pipeline to make the migration move systematic for data models
- Set up approval processes and enhancements in GitLab for multi-level reviews
- Migrate mappings and consumers services
- Work with owners of the code to successfully migrate
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills in Python
- Past experience with projects related to Data Migration
- Excellent knowledge of relational database skills SQL / DDL and non-relational as well (MongoDB)
- Agile, scrum-based development experience
- REST, WSDL, or Microservices experience
- Git or other similar branch-based repositories
Tech Stack:
- Firmwide data lake for managing data and reporting in a centralized way.
- Various warehouse types: DB2, Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, HDFS, Hbase
- Gitlab & CSF for source code management and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
- Java and a proprietary interpreted language
- Mixed database technologies: relational, cloud
- Prometheus & Grafana for application monitoring
- Informatica workflows for ETL
