Kraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day/week in the office).

As a Data Analyst you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undertaking a large-scale data transformation project focused on enhancing data quality, modernising reference data processes, and supporting cross-regional teams. You will be contributing to the improvement of data lake environments, refining user stories for engineering teams, and ensuring high-quality analytical outputs that support strategic decision-making. You will be collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, applying your analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimise existing solutions, and deliver consistent value across multiple business segments.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analysing and enhancing data quality within data lake systems

• Reviewing and improving PL/SQL code while tracking changes in GitHub

• Collaborating with Scrum teams to groom and refining user stories

• Aligning static reference data across multiple business segments

• Identifying and addressing data gaps in core banking and account systems

• Developing advanced SQL queries and Python Pandas scripts

• Participating in planning sessions, status updates, and Sprint reviews

• Troubleshooting issues and providing timely support

• Communicating analytical findings to stakeholders

• Coordinating with cross-regional teams to ensure data consistency

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Hadoop or Google Cloud Platform

• Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering capabilities

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA and Confluence

• Ability to deconstruct requirements into detailed, actionable components

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English

• Solid organisational skills and ability to manage work at various stages

• Expertise in system analysis including APIs, data mapping, and integrations

• Hands-on experience in data mastering

• Understanding of data governance processes and data lake architectures

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with metadata management

• Knowledge of data architecture and data modelling

• Practical exposure to physical data modelling

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

• Prior experience in financial services environments
