As a Cloud Security SME you will be working for our client, a major global financial institution undertaking a large-scale cloud security transformation programme. You will be contributing to a critical initiative focused on evaluating and enhancing cryptography-related controls across multiple cloud platforms. The project is aiming to assess the current maturity of security measures by analysing existing configurations, identifying gaps, and supporting testing activities essential for strengthening secure cloud adoption. You will be collaborating with technical teams, cybersecurity specialists, and stakeholders to ensure robust and compliant security practices across diverse cloud environments.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conducting gap analysis of cryptography controls across multiple cloud platforms

• Assessing existing cloud security configurations and identifying required improvements

• Contributing to planning and execution of control testing activities

• Reviewing and deconstructing technical documentation, processes and procedures

• Creating and configuring cryptography-associated controls in supported cloud environments

• Supporting the development of test plans, test cases and traceability matrices

• Gathering and documenting test evidence and progress throughout the testing lifecycle

• Collaborating with cybersecurity and cloud engineering teams to validate findings

• Evaluating maturity levels of implemented cloud controls

• Engaging with stakeholders to communicate insights and technical outcomes

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• In-depth understanding of cryptography and associated controls across at least two major cloud platforms

• Hands-on experience creating and configuring cloud cryptography controls

• Strong knowledge of federated account models in cloud environments

• Robust understanding of cryptography tooling and related technologies

• Proven ability to review, interpret and analyse technical documentation

• Experience contributing to structured testing lifecycles and producing related artefacts

• Background in cybersecurity and secure cloud practices

• Ability to work with large-scale cloud environments and complex security frameworks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Confident communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience working in financial services

• Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud security capabilities

• Exposure to cloud compliance and regulatory requirements

• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams
