As a Cloud Infrastructure Lead, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution focused on implementing an ambitious multi-year DevOps vision. The project involves designing and enhancing a Jenkins CI Platform that serves a vast engineering community of over 45,000 professionals worldwide. You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, and tooling teams globally to govern and deliver strategic objectives, ensuring high-quality standards across infrastructure and application deployment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all builds and designs align with high-level architecture principles and overall strategy
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, enhancing their technical and interpersonal skills
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure using industry best practices
- Aligning all build activities to best practices
- Utilizing Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow
- Designing and implementing observability tools such as logging and metrics
- Creating and implementing modular shared pipeline components
- Developing and maintaining declarative Jenkins pipelines and branching strategies
- Managing technical integrations with security and change management tools such as SNOW, SAST/DAST tooling
- Supporting problem management and incident resolution processes
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in CI/CD
- Advanced expertise in CloudBees Jenkins (installation, configuration, and administration)
- Experience with Cloud Platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform and related services like Cloud Storage, Big Query, and Cloud Logging
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE, AKS, EKS) and container management tools
- Proficiency in developing Object-Oriented code (Python, Groovy, shell scripting)
- Expertise in DevOps release principles and best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with agile scrum processes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders including engineering teams and senior management
- Proven ability to lead a team and contribute to the grooming and handling of a product backlog
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certification at the solution architect level across multiple cloud service providers
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and GCP deployment manager
- Familiarity with applying DevOps principles to COTS and PaaS products (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
- Experience implementing banking regulations for IT solutions
- Understanding of NFRs and ensuring their delivery through design and execution
