As a Cloud Governance Manager, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution undergoing a significant transformation toward cloud adoption. You will play a key role in ensuring effective oversight of cloud services, managing associated risks, and aligning governance frameworks with regulatory requirements. You will engage with various stakeholders, including risk stewards, compliance teams, and cloud service providers, to ensure seamless cloud integration while maintaining high security and compliance standards. Your role will also involve supporting regulatory engagement, managing governance forums, and representing cloud services in IT governance meetings across multiple markets in Continental Europe.
Your main responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the Cloud Forum, ensuring actions are effectively captured and executed
- Identify, promote, and provide insights on key Cloud Services risks and issues
- Prepare and support governance committees with risk and compliance assessments
- Act as the regional cloud engagement point, responding to local governance inquiries
- Ensure effective regulatory engagement across markets, responding to consultations on cloud policies
- Lead governance evolution to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining efficiency
- Represent Cloud Services in regional and country IT governance meetings
- Support platform leads in working with procurement, risk, and legal teams on contractual matters
- Engage with cybersecurity and architecture teams on cloud-related topics
- Ensure regional requirements are communicated and delivered by the Cloud Service Organization
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, particularly in cloud transformation efforts
- Previous experience in IT governance, project management, or cybersecurity/cloud-related roles
- Strong proactive skills and ability to identify and address governance challenges
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in complex corporate environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong relationship management skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Fluent English
- Knowledge of risk management principles and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to cloud services in financial institutions
- Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E), CISM, CISA, COBIT, ITIL, or CISSP certifications
- Experience working with cloud service providers and regulatory bodies
- Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks and data architecture policies
