Automation Tester (mobile apps)

Warsaw based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month).

As a QA Consultant, you will be working for our client, a leader in the online banking industry, contributing to the development of a cutting-edge mobile application that supports thousands of users daily. The project involves building robust solutions for both Android and iOS platforms with a focus on code quality, user experience, and continuous innovation. You will be responsible for driving testing excellence by performing both manual and automated tests, shaping testing strategy, and mentoring teams in quality assurance best practices across the organization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and automated tests on mobile applications for Android and iOS

• Explore new areas for test automation within mobile development

• Implement testing strategy and architecture for mobile platforms

• Coordinate complex testing tasks across multiple teams

• Define and maintain cross-team QA standards and practices

• Set quality goals and define metrics (KPI/Quality Gates) for mobile testing

• Identify gaps and propose improvements in current testing strategy

• Design and implement automated testing solutions

• Select, recommend, and implement appropriate testing tools

• Collaborate with product owners, project teams, and IT stakeholders to improve QA processes

• Participate in community of practice, sharing QA knowledge and mentoring peers

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience as a QA Expert

• Minimum 4 years of experience testing mobile applications (Android & iOS), both manually and with automation

• Strong knowledge of software development and testing processes

• Solid experience with mobile test automation tools

• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Strong commitment to continuous learning and self-development

• Analytical thinking and a high level of accuracy

• Good self-organization and time management skills

• Hands-on experience with test management and bug reporting tools

• Ability to read and analyze logs and source data

• Practical knowledge of tools like TestLink, Xray, or similar systems

Nice to have:

• Leading educational initiatives by monitoring current practices will be an additional asset

• Practical knowledge of Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, XCode

• Familiarity with selected scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, Ruby)
