API Technical Writer with French

Portugal-based opportunity with remote work model (5 days per week).

As a Senior API Technical Writer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the financial technology industry. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Treezor’s public API documentation in English, ensuring clarity and usability for developers around the world. Your expertise will support the delivery of high-quality technical content that drives excellent developer experiences and fosters client trust. This role offers a unique chance to influence the way cutting-edge financial APIs are documented and understood, opening pathways for your professional growth.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand new features and updates, updating documentation within set deadlines.

• Transform complex technical information into accessible and comprehensive documentation for diverse user groups.

• Create detailed step-by-step instructions, screenshots, diagrams, and visual aids to facilitate user comprehension.

• Maintain the technical stack of the documentation site, coordinating version upgrades with your technical lead and the Product Designer.

• Review product and API specifications, focusing on enhancing the developer experience by optimizing error messages, field naming, and structure.

• Proofread technical specifications and interface content to ensure grammatical accuracy and high-quality English language standards.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, especially with REST API documentation.

• Proficiency in doc-as-code tools such as VitePress, Git, Postman, and OpenAPI specifications.

• Fluent command of English and French, with strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.

• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work closely with technical teams.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet publication deadlines.

• Knowledge of the payment industry and internal knowledge management is a significant plus.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in payment industry documentation.

• Additional certifications or skills related to technical writing or API development.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English and French.
