As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution driving digital transformation across its retail banking services. You will contribute to the development of scalable and secure mobile banking applications used by millions of customers worldwide. As part of a highly skilled engineering team, you are taking a leadership role in shaping the Android experience, ensuring performance, reliability, and a seamless user journey, while embracing cutting-edge mobile technologies and best practices.

Your main responsibilities:

• Leading the design and development of Android mobile applications

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• Implementing complex UI/UX designs following Material Design principles

• Maintaining code quality through unit testing and code reviews

• Integrating with RESTful APIs and managing offline data synchronization

• Applying best practices in mobile security and performance optimization

• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering standards

• Participating in architectural discussions and technology roadmaps

• Managing deployment processes and ensuring Play Store compliance

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience as a senior contributor or technical lead in Android development

• Deep expertise in Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and architecture components

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin

• Strong command of Android Studio and related development tools

• Experience with custom views, animations, and UI design principles

• Solid understanding of reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines)

• Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks like Dagger or Hilt

• Familiarity with local data storage solutions such as Room or SQLite

• Proficiency in testing frameworks for unit and UI automation

• Strong grasp of Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI

  
  

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Android NDK and native code integration

• Knowledge of Clean Architecture or MVVM patterns

• Familiarity with Android’s mapping and location APIs

• Understanding of Firebase Cloud Messaging and push notifications

• Expertise in Gradle configuration and dependency management

• Exposure to Android accessibility features and inclusive design
