ITCPW is an international consultancy and software development company and is looking for experts to work for FRONTEX
The job openings are related to participation in large-scale IT projects that ensure the information infrastructure of Frontex. Successful candidates will be offered long-term employment or freelance contracts. The candidate must be an EU resident.
We are currently compiling a list of eligible candidates for filling Technical Writer job openings with specific working experience of minimum 5 years.
Knowledge and skills (please attach relevant certificate to your application)
- Must hold first cycle higher education
- No certification is required
- Experience of writing technical documentation in the field of ICT including requirements documents, project management documentation, user and system guides and contextual on-line help
- Presents excellent command of English, at least at C1 level
- Expert in providing technical, user and project documentation in the domain of the LOT
- Thorough knowledge of ICT terminology and concepts
- Expert in determining documentation needs (in both contents and form) based on continuous collaboration with users, designers, programmers, system and network engineers and an understanding of the project and its products - Well versed with graphical design, authoring and office automation software
- Experience in developing document management policies
- Expert in creating and delivering presentations and training
- Able to recommend and configure tools supporting development and maintenance of technical documentation e.g. WIKIs, MOSS and similar
- Understands software development technologies and their limitations
- Ability to rapidly absorb technical information
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to interface, communicate, and translate information delivered by programmers
- Presents excellent communication skills

Nature of tasks
- Composes technical documents including user guides, manuals, bulletins, publications, training manuals, process documentations, workflows, contextual help and special reports
- Develops policies and guidelines for format and style for documents in order to ensure consistency across all deliverables
- Provides Quality Assurance for all documents produced under the project/contract
- Confers with staff in the development of formats, graphics, and layout of publications; organize and coordinate the composition of material and drafting of forms suitable for reproduction
- Develops executive level reports/briefings from strategy papers and analytical reports. Synthesize key messages out of reports to convey information as required
- Recommends and implements improvements and automation of development of documentation for greater efficiency and quality
- Manages document repository, manage versions and releases
- Implements and maintains tools for development and management of technical documentation
- Provides QA for software system interactions and messages addressed to the end user
- Manage standard project vocabulary
