Senior Data Engineer

Overview 

IT-Total, is looking for a passionate and experienced Data Engineer that will play also role as Lead Data Engineer. The focus is on delivering data centric solutions with a cloud first mindset.

You will be expected to be the technology wizard and deliver high quality and innovative solutions for our projects and product departments. You will also provide technical mentor-ship to other members of the team, working in a fast-paced environment where agile development is embraced, and innovation is encouraged.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality, low-defect features on schedule
• Working with big-data systems especially in the Azure environment
• Lead by example through the implementation of challenging and complex components
• Work closely with your leaderships and our customers
• Lead the team of Data Engineers and mentoring the teams members
• Ensure quality through adherence to technical best practice and through mentor-ship, feedback and paired programming
• Occasionally travel to your clients site, as needed

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality data solutions that deliver the required product features 
• Design the whole data-centric solution, act as Data Architect
• Lead the team of 3-4 members
• Design and implement high quality data systems in Microsoft Azure environment
• Work closely with customers to gather business requirements
• Self-learn, to keep up with fast-moving cloud and software technologies 
• Actively participate in development as a team member and take responsibility for your work items

Job Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field. First hands of professional experience in Python and SQL 
• Ability to find simple, effective software solutions that deliver feature-rich capabilities 
• Ability to solve complex problems 
• Ability to learn / dive in into the technology trends and to explore them in practice
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and drive solution design
• Self-Directed, High Energy 
• Ability to bring something special to the team, like: dev ops expertise ML/AI new ideas
• Experience of working in an Agile team
• Hands-on skills on Python (Senior)
• Experience in Microsoft Fabric environment
• Experience with Azure Services (EventHub, IoT Hub, ServiceBus, Stream Analytics, Azure Functions)
• Experience in developing big data systems , especially streaming data inside Azure
• Following best practises like medallion lakehouse architecture

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education & Experience considered advantageous:

• Hands-on skills on Kubernates (especially AKS)
• Experience with MLops
• Experience with building and deploy machine learning models
• Microsoft Azure Certifications
