As a Software Engineert in the Irdeto Online Piracy Detection (OPD) Team, you will be contributing to the next generation of piracy detection software. Your job will be to work with a global team of engineers and analysts to figure out how to identify, scrape, enforce, and report on sources of online piracy, and produce tools and software that allow you to do this as efficiently as possible.
In this role you will be joining our Video Entertainment team. Conditional access remains key to what we do; from managing new technology implementations, combating online piracy, offering anti-cheat methods for gaming to supporting customers' demand for high-quality multi-screen experiences Irdeto deliver to a global customer base.
What you will be working on:
- Working with a tight-knit team in defining product architecture along with designing, implementing, and maintaining new features in the Web Video, Live Sporting Event, or Peer-to-Peer services product line
- Developing and deploying products in various cloud environments
- Working in an agile fashion
- Videoconferencing, so you can see your globally dispersed team.
- Working in cross functional teams that include professional services and technical operations as part of end to end product delivery and troubleshooting
- Mentoring junior engineers.
- Leading the design and development process.

Knowledge and skills we hope you would bring:
- A natural interest in social media and streaming media platforms
- A passion for solving problems
- Experience with a wide variety of technologies
- Experience with social media platforms and streaming media platforms.
- Thorough knowledge in JavaScript, Python (JavaScript is mandatory)
- Knowledge in Node.JS, Go, C, C++, or C# (nice to have)
- Experience in/understanding of web protocols and technologies: HTTP, CSS, DOM
- Experience with Relational databases ( nice to have)
- Familiarity with continuous integration processes
- An understanding of, and having worked in, agile/scrum
