We are seeking an experienced Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Engineer to join a cutting-edge financial innovation project, leading the design and development of secure, upgradeable smart contracts and tokenized deposit platforms within regulated blockchain ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure, upgradeable smart contracts using Proxy, UUPS, and Beacon design patterns;
Develop smart contracts aligned with standards like ERC-20, ERC-721, and other protocols relevant to financial tokenization;
Collaborate with various teams to create blockchain-based representations of cash, MMFs, and deposit instruments;
Integrate blockchain solutions with digital asset custody platforms such as Fireblocks and similar providers;
Develop and maintain on-chain data indexing strategies for access by off-chain applications;
Apply security best practices throughout the smart contract development lifecycle, including reviews and audits;
Use platforms like Alchemy, Infura, or Chainstack to ensure reliable access to blockchain infrastructure;
Deploy and manage decentralized applications on Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platforms, with a preference for Kaleido;
Contribute to R&D initiatives focused on central bank digital currency (CBDC) settlement models (e.g., mBridge, Project Ensemble);
Assist with CI/CD and DevOps workflows related to decentralized deployments.
Must have skills:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing EVM-compatible smart contracts in Solidity;
Familiarity with testing frameworks like Hardhat, Truffle, and Ganache;
Solid understanding of smart contract upgradeability patterns (Proxy, UUPS, Beacon);
Experience in secure contract development, including vulnerability identification and remediation;
Understanding of tokenization processes within regulated financial environments (e.g., cash, MMFs, deposits);
Integration experience with digital asset custody and wallet platforms (e.g., Fireblocks, Ledger Vault, MetaMask Institutional);
Practical knowledge of blockchain data indexing tools;
Strong grasp of Ethereum infrastructure and blockchain access providers (e.g., Alchemy, Infura, Chainstack);
Experience deploying solutions via enterprise BaaS platforms like Kaleido;
Familiarity with ongoing CBDC projects and their settlement frameworks (e.g., mBridge, Ensemble, Dunbar).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with enterprise identity and access management systems (OAuth2, SAML) and IDP integrations;
Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized dApp deployments, and Helm for orchestration;
Background in cloud-native solutions, particularly on AWS or Azure;
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, particularly for backend integrations with smart contracts;
Understanding of KYC/AML processes or experience working with compliance solution providers.
