We are a Danish IT company with 17 years of experience in software development. At present we are about 300 people, located in Gdansk, Aarhus (Denmark) and Lviv.
We are looking for a professional, motivated and reliable Middle DevOps engineers in our office in Gdansk (hybrid model during pandemic).
Our client is a growing market leader that develops a large payroll system and provides integrations with different partners and clients. We are looking for a dedicated, ambitious and experienced DevOps Engineer to grow our team. You will drive the professionalization of our development pipeline(s) with focus on containerized microservices.
Our technology stack is the following: Java/Kotlin, Spring/KTOR, Rabbit MQ, Keycloak, GraphQL on the development side. The tool stack includes Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Jsonnet and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a DevOps Engineer you are responsible for participating in all aspects of deploying, documenting, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure and delivery pipeline critical to the success of the business. These activities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and enhance our CI/CD Pipeline
  • Maintain and improve our Containerization Platforms
  • Monitoring Existing Infrastructure
  • Deploying/Configuring New Infrastructure/Containers
  • Automating Management Tasks
  • Troubleshooting and Fixing Infrastructure Issues
  • Writing and Updating Documentation
  • Plan/Automate/Deploy New Infrastructure/Containers
  • Troubleshoot/Fix/Document Existing Infrastructure

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Microservices and the architecture that leads to: Design, Observability (logging, metrics), Performance, Debugging
  • Early involvement in new projects so we start off on the right track
  • Immutable Infrastructure, Configuration-as-Code, Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. We’re planning/considering moving from Jenkins to GitLab for CI/CD
  • Experience in Git
  • Experience with Kubernetes and associated technologies, e.g. (Helm, ArgoCD, Jsonnet)
  • Relevant programming experience in bash and e.g. in Python, Ruby or similar
  • Tools like Ansible (or Chef or Puppet or Terraform)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science is preferred or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust communication to fit the audience
  • Relentless desire to deliver, say what you’ll do, and do what you say
