Lead Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help us shape the future of the ‘embedded finance’ revolution. You will be the tech lead of a team of four developers in one of our product domains and work closely with the Product Manager.

The ideal candidate for this position:

• Is a seasoned engineer with real-world experience in NodeJS and React.
• Is passionate about leading teams and building great products.
• Loves FinTech and it is a plus if you have an understanding of large-scale applications in the financial or banking domain, but we’re happy to help you evolve and develop with us.
• Has an urge for continuous self-improvement, is a true team player, and solves complex problems in your sleep.
• Is self-motivated, works autonomously and thinks independently.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing and delivery of your product.
• Be responsible for the architecture and processes inside your team.
• Own your team’s roadmap and output together with the Product Manager.
• Work with key stakeholders effectively to solve problems and make decisions.
• Mentor and support other developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking innovation to enhance our products and processes.
• Some of the technologies you will be working with are Javascript, Node.js, MySQL, React, Docker, Kubernetes, TeamCity CI, Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare and Terraform.

To be successful in this position, you need:

• Senior developer experience including 5+ years of relevant full-stack experience.
• Experience in leading teams for 2+ years.
• Consistent track record of planning, executing and delivering projects involving complex requirements.
• Experience with NodeJS and React
• Understanding of SQL, ACID.
• Good understanding of distributed architecture design principles and domain-driven design.
• Hands-on experience building front-end applications with perfect UX.
• Appetite for DevOps methodologies and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for mobile development is a plus.
• Interest in people management is a plus.
• English at verbal Intermediate and above.
• To be able to work remotely in Spain, Sweden, Poland or Portugal, meaning you need to be an EU citizen or have a work permit for any of those locations.
