Flutter Architect

As a Flutter Architect on a Digital Healthcare Team, you will play a crucial role in leading the technical design and development of engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences that support patients and caregivers throughout the continuum of care. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to create seamless and impactful user experiences and to bring innovative health features to life. Your role will involve the design and development of mobile and Web apps to support consumer-centric health and wellness applications. This role requires strong front end software development expertise combined with an understanding of healthcare data standards and privacy and security requirements.

You will ultimately be responsible for the development and implementation of consumer-centric and healthcare professional-focused digital tools aimed at enhancing medication adherence and achieving optimal health outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to ensure successful delivery of initiatives while optimizing program performance and alignment with business objectives.

The Digital Healthcare Team seeks a skilled and driven Flutter Architect to drive and support the development and launch of innovative digital care and life management programs targeting diabetes and other chronic conditions. We are building a comprehensive digital health platform that empowers patients with chronic conditions and their informal caregivers to manage health journeys more effectively together. Our platform combines multiple modular services into a seamless ecosystem that bridges the gap between clinical care and daily life management.

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and development of responsive, accessible front-end interfaces for web and mobile health applications.
• Implement and leverage development and test tools and utilities that integrate cutting-edge methodologies in automated generation of technical requirements, code, and testing protocols, enhancing developer efficiency and organizational productivity.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional code.
• Implement features that facilitate care coordination between patients, their informal caregivers, and care team members.
• Create intuitive data visualization components to help users understand health trends.
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate with APIs and healthcare data systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify technical constraints, and deliver user-centered features.
• Ensure all interfaces meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to accommodate users with diverse abilities and needs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across various devices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Contribute to design discussions and provide front-end insights during product planning and user research sessions.
• Stay current with the latest front-end development trends, tools, and best practices.

What you need for this

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in front end development with demonstrated healthcare domain knowledge.
• Experience in front-end development using Flutter.
• Experience building accessible interfaces that comply with WCAG standards.
• Familiarity with state management approaches (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges and solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred experience:

• Experience with modern TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks (React Native, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements for digital applications.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, etc.).
