Night-time Tier-1 SOC Support (Backup Monitoring)

Location: Remote (candidates must be eligible to work in the EU)

Engagement type: B2B contract / Employment contract (UoP)

Working hours: Standard shift 00:00 – 06:00 CET, Monday to Friday with some flexibility on weekends.

Please note that we are open to flexible arrangements – the engagement may be covered by one or more consultants. If you prefer to work part-time (e.g., 3 hours per night or a few nights per week), this is also possible.

For our Swiss client, we are looking for a SOC Tier-1 Support specialist to monitor systems during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Night-shift SOC Tier-1 support (monitoring and basic actions).

• Backup monitoring (Acronis) – ensuring integrity and reliability of backup processes.

• Compliance with GDPR requirements.

• Basic incident handling and reporting as part of Tier-1 SOC duties.

• Steady, proactive monitoring (not “on-call”).

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of proven experience in SOC or backup monitoring.

• Knowledge of Acronis or other backup solutions (Acronis certification is a strong plus).

• Reliability, patience, and independence.

• Ability to work during night hours (full shift or part-time).

• Solid understanding of IT security and GDPR.

• Legal eligibility to work in the EU.

• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience as SOC Analyst L1.

Conditions:

• Long-term engagement (possible trial + extensions).

• Can be covered by one full-time consultant or several part-time consultants in rotation.
