🎯 Job Description

As a Senior VDI Administrator and Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment. This role requires deep technical knowledge and the ability to handle escalations, troubleshoot performance issues, and lead change implementations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Infrastructure Management

  • Manage single/multi-user session catalogs
  • Deploy and virtualize applications; validate VDI performance
  • Troubleshoot VDI connectivity and profile issues
  • Automate provisioning via scripting
  • Migrate VDI workloads and upgrade base images

🔹 Virtual Desktop Image Management

  • Create and maintain golden images
  • Patch and update virtual desktop images
  • Manage content libraries and synchronize across sites

🔹 User Access Control

  • Provision and manage access for VDI and apps
  • Enforce policy-driven lockdown and permissions
  • Validate user profiles and sync across locations

🔹 Security Management

  • Enforce security policies and encryption
  • Patch and secure master images
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and ensure compliance

🔹 Troubleshooting & Support

  • Handle escalated tickets (Tier 2/3)
  • Resolve performance/access issues
  • Support end-users and cross-functional teams

🔹 Documentation & Reporting

  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation
  • Generate reports on usage, performance, and changes
  • Create KBs and conduct training for Tier 1/2 teams

🔹 Change Management

  • Submit and manage change requests
  • Participate in the release and deployment cycle
