Are you a seasoned data expert with a passion for transforming complex retail operations into smart, scalable data solutions? Join our global team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail data strategy for a worldwide enterprise.

We are looking for a hands-on data leader with 10+ years of experience in retail data management, product ownership, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers the opportunity to work fully remotely from Poland, with cross-functional collaboration across the US, Europe, and Asia.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Define and deliver the data product vision and roadmap across key retail data domains: POS sales, inventory, traffic, RFID, promotions, workforce, omni-channel sales, and store operations.

• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, analysts, and business leaders to turn business needs into actionable, high-impact data products.

• Lead requirement gathering and prioritization, acting as the go-to expert for retail data initiatives.

• Develop and track KPIs to ensure adoption and success of data products.

• Advocate for data governance, compliance, and best-in-class security standards.

• Continuously monitor emerging trends in retail tech and data to shape future strategy.

• Deliver training, documentation, and clear presentations to support adoption and understanding across business units.

✅ What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

• 10+ years managing retail data products and pipelines—ideally in consulting or multi-client environments.

• Strong knowledge of retail business processes, including POS, inventory, omni-channel sales, and store operations.

• Track record of launching and scaling complex data solutions in large organizations.

• Familiarity with modern data architectures, including cloud platforms (preferably GCP), streaming, and batch processing.

• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.

• Experience with agile teams and working in global environments.

• Hands-on with BI/Visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.

• Experience in retail operations and reporting.

• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools.
