Role: Data Engineer

Work Mode: Hybrid ( 6 Days Onsite/ Month)

What you’ll do
- Build new MSSQL infrastructure and test and migrate the data from old infrastructure to new
- Prepare the pre-implementation plan for both non-production and production migration, including a plan of implementation, post-implementation verification and backout
- Help to optimize the database performance before the production go-live
- Help to ensure end-to-end testing of the underlying middleware (in collaboration with application SME) to ensure no data loss and good application performance
- Maintain documentation on migration strategies, rollback plans, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
- Automate migration tasks using PowerShell, SQL scripts, and third-party tools where applicable
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2019
- Experience migrating between MSSQL database versions
- Ability to create testing, implementation, verification and rollback plans and writing documentation and procedures
- Proven ability to provision, configure, manage and troubleshoot on-prem instances of MS SQL in High-Availability setup
- Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL and Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019
- Solid understanding of monitoring and optimizing database performance
- Willingness to work with closed-source 3rd party product
- Familiarity with middleware technology (IBM Liberty or WAS) is a plus
